Eden Reforestation Projects
We want to protect and enhance the health of our planet and its inhabitants. Our programmes are delivered online, can be completed at home, using little to no equipment, and include a sustainability focussed incentive scheme - where we plant trees as you smash your targets and build healthy habits. This is facilitated through our partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects (Eden).
Eden are a non-profit organisation; whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. Eden currently operate in Nepal, Madagascar, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique, and Kenya. They hire impoverished people to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. The trees that you earn provide positive environmental and socio-economic impacts by contributing to reforestation, animal habitat restoration, and providing work for impoverished people.
By the year 2025, Eden Reforestation Projects aims to plant a minimum of 500 million trees each year, and to offer hope through the employment of tens of thousands of people in countries where extreme poverty is rampant.
The incentive scheme is incorporated into our healthy habit builder. As you complete your shorter-term health and fitness targets, you not only make progress towards your longer-term goals by building healthy habits, but you also plant trees. This is tracked using our 28-Day Healthy Habit Builder (not available in our 1-Week Trial), providing accountability and added motivation for the completion of your programme.
We will keep track of the total number of trees you plant as you progress through your programme, and you can check out the total number of trees EcoGains have planted on our home page.
