Eden Reforestation Projects
We want to protect and enhance the health of our planet and its inhabitants. Our programmes are delivered online, can be completed at home, using little to no equipment, and include a sustainability focussed incentive scheme.
The EcoGains incentive scheme is incorporated into our 28-Day Healthy Habit Builder. As clients adhere to their shorter-term targets, they progress towards their longer-term goals by building healthy habits and plant trees in the process. This serves as an accountability framework and provides added motivation for completing the programme. It has resulted in over 3,200 trees being planted and is facilitated through our partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects (Eden).
Eden are a non-profit organisation, whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. Eden currently operate in Nepal, Madagascar, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique, and Kenya. They hire impoverished people to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. Planting the trees has a positive environmental and socio-economic impact as they contribute to carbon sequestration, reforestation, animal habitat restoration, and provide work for impoverished people.
By the year 2025, Eden aim to plant a minimum of 500 million trees each year and employ tens of thousands of people in countries where extreme poverty is rampant.
We will track the total number of trees each client plants as they progress through their programme. The total number of trees EcoGains have planted is displayed on our website.
